After teaching elementary school for many years in Reno, Arlene has gained a deep understanding of how kids learn. She is passionate about helping create a better tomorrow through educating our youth. She believes knowledge is power - the power to create a better life for oneself and the world.

Arlene believes that learning to read is like learning to ride a bike. If you don’t push yourself, you’ll never learn. But if you push yourself too hard, you will fall on your face! The sweet spot is right in the middle, and it is different for every child. In Arlene’s individual sessions, she works with your child at the pace that is right for them, and is patient every step of the way.

When she is not helping kids learn to read, Arlene enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and spending time at Lake Tahoe.
